Verified ReviewerOutrageous prices
I won't buy again.
Paid about $3,000.00 , 1 and half year ago. I had a series of objections about quality and price.
The salesman had answers for all objections. Anyway, I was already hooked, because they convinced me to resell it. They convinced me that I could be a great sales manager of my region (south Miami), reselling those vaccums. I asked and they said it wasn't mlm (multi level marketing).
By the end of the looong product presentation, I still had my doubts to pay about $2300 in a vacuum cleaner, plus $800 in an accessory to clean beds, and carpets. My last resort was to say that my credit cards were full - but they had a financial company. So, I bought that day the vaccum cleaner- to my regret. Now, after 12 months paying, I still owe almost same amount of the beggining.
And they launched the same debt 2 times on the credit bureaus.
For instance, if you become a reseller, your job is basically hand them a list of YOUR friends, that could buy this vaccum at that ridiculous price. After trying with one fiend, that got pissed with me, and cancelled the sale, I understood that I would have all my friends against me also.
I believe that good part of positive reviews are made by people that buy and resell the vaccum cleaner. If you are only a customer is a BAD IDEIA TO BUY.
Do yourself a favor.
Buy a much cheaper conventional vaccum cleaner. If you need to purify your indoor air, buy a air purifyer.

I bought the EST and took it in the shorts. Thought we had a 3 month trial. It was a 3 day trial. How can you see if a product works in 3 days? What a joke paid way too much for this not happy stay fa

I was deceived. From the very first on, many
Aspects of this vacuum from the salesman.
This is not an easy.
Machine for a person to use.
The salesman's new my age was 76 years old, saw how disabled I was,
Rheumatoid arthritis, COPD and many other issues.
This machine is so heavy That it is impossible.
For me to use.
I am lucky if I can get 2 rooms done in my house a day.
It is way overpriced. I tried after 2 days.
To get this machine returned, What is within the law at my age, I have 5 days?
To change my mind, due to stalling not return calls etc.
Those days passed before I could talk to anyone.
They should never., have sold this machine to a person of my age.
It is the hardest vacuum I have ever used.
It does not even come with A.
Operating manual so you know how to
use the various.
Attachments.
Awful machine. Awful company representatives. I will say the machine does clean very good,
And this is the only reason it got one star.
Yes, I could have said no, but these salesmen were so not going to take no for an answer that I felt the only way to get them out of my house was to say yes, then cancel the contract.
They also promised me additional accessories guaranteed to make it easier for dome to use. Thing is, no such accessories exist.
When you get the vacuuming done, it is done well.

Verified Reviewer |Employee discrimination
I started employment with Grand Valley Air three weeks ago under completely false pretenses. When I first started, the group and I were under the impression that we were there to be sales reps handing current costumers as well as doing demos to create commission as well as a $750 base pay.
Once we finished the interviews, which was misleading in itself considering the misrepresentation of our job description, we were essentially placed in an uncomfortable and unfortunate position. Many, myself included had asked multiple times about the way we got leads and tried clarifying that this was not a door to door job which we later found out was about 70%of the workload. It was justified by stating that this was not door to door, but instead it was canvassing which is directly in line with the door to door description but was used to mislead us and cause confusion. The hours and the requirements are equally as hard to maneuver as they used a lot of word play and semantics to confuse everyone that they had hired on.
The individuals in charge gave us three months to learn and at least one month before going out on our own and trying to make us sales, however after one week of training they told us that we were required to start getting our leads with little instruction on how to do so and getting our sales with minimal education on the Hyla itself. They stressed that we needed these leads and demos in order to make our base pay, so much so that we all literally jumped into the fire with little to no support from either Mark or Motez who run the Salt Lake City branch. They had mentioned nine hour days which was supposed to also justify the base pay, yet we continually ran demos and work well past the nine hour mark. Last week on Tuesday Mark and I had a conversation that I had initiated in order to creat clarity so that I knew what was going on in more depth.
Afterwards Mark had sent me home in spite and told me to come back on Monday where I could continue my employment as usual. I had shown up on Monday with the intentions of not only continuing my employment with Grand Valley Air, but also receiving my pay after having already waited three weeks to do so. Mark had then told me that he did not send in my information to have my check sent while every other employee received their compensation for that week. He had then been offering bonuses to everyone to which I was supposed to receive $242.50 in bonus money as well as being paid today (Thursday December 8, 2022) which he had mentioned directly after stating that hed failed to send in my information.
Today he had told me that not only am I not going to get paid this week, making that three weeks with no financial payment, but that he was also not going to give me the bonuses that hed previously promised. To the best of my knowledge, no one had received their bonuses either. I would just like for you to know that these individuals are misrepresenting your company name as well as creating conflicts within your company. I will be reporting them to the better business bureau of Utah as it seems they have no intention of compensating me for the time I had been employed and the stress and turmoil they have caused me, my household and the other employees they have mistreated and mislead.
This branch has directly discriminated against me because I had a minor accusation if they way thing were handled here and it has lead to a complete financial fallout on my behalf that had lead me to pawning personal items in order to eat, feed my dog, get gas in my vehicle and pay into but not all of my bills. I wrote this letter to let you know that these individuals are in the process of ruining your name as a brand and a company for both consumers and employees.

Switch and bait
Had a rep djow up today . He handed me a box .
Said it was an air purifier. If I would test a unit out I would get it free if I gave feedback. Well after sayin ok he asked for water for the unit and what was a favorite scent. He said he had to get to his truck to get it .
Upon returning he now had several boxes and a friend. Then he excused himself leaving this friend to demonstrate the unit . Afterwards asked what I thought. I said sounds interesting.
Then he hit me with a sales pitch . Ok stop this was a free unit if I shared my opinion on this . You want $4100.oo for that plastic thing . *** no .
Then the guy asks what I could afford. I told him no thank you . I didnt appreciate the con job and he could get his ride back and go. This guy still tried to push a sale .
Nothing down and 75.00 a month. I told him no . But I will that it got free as discussed at the first meeting. But a purchase at 4100 no way in *** The guy called his so called office and they tried to con me into the sale and again I refused and repeated the prior offer of free if I helped them out with the review as the first individual stated .
They didnt even address that just skipped and asked what I would pay .
Told them nothing but I will post a review of this day . They came quick and got the *** bag .
- Maybe water filtration
- Con to get into my house

Disgusted with how Hyla chooses to represent itself
Representative sold me a Hyla vaccuum cleaner. I basically took a loan out that he convinced me I needed to take.
I originally understood it to be for 2000 dollars but it was for 4000 dollars. To make matters worse the rep lied about the job I had (I was unemployed at the time), and took advantage of me at a time when I was very sick. I never received the product. I never saw a cent of the loan he convinced me to take out.
He ghosted me and refused to take my calls. I checked into his background and he has committed this fraud before. "Theft by deception". He also had laughed when drunk telling me - to my great horror, that he often committed home invasions after demonstrating the product to unwitting prospects.
(That's when I should have contacted Hyla, but I really believed he would not include me in his crime spree, as he had convinced me he had 'changed his ways"). I am normally a person who believes in "second chances" so I believed he was sincere. Not so. I checked into his background to discover a list of crimes, violent assaults and robberies that date back to 1990- and that's just in the State of Ohio.
God knows what other crimes he has committed in other states. I am disgusted that Hyla contracted a criminal to represent them. The excuse that he acts as an "independent contractor" doesn't cut it. Hyla are obviously only too happy to have active criminals and drug addicts represent them and don't give a *** about their customers.
Why aren't Hyla prepared to do background checks and or drug tests on the contractors they have as reps? Because they don't give a *** They are all about profit before people and money before ethics. NEVER EVER EVER LET A HYLA SALESPERSON IN YOUR HOME.
You are most likely entertaining a criminal, and you will be ripped off. Learn from my experience.
User's recommendation: DO NOT ALLOW A CRIMINAL IN YOUR HOME. HYLA DO NOT CARE WHO REPRESENTS THEIR COMPANY AND MANY REPS ARE CRIMS AND/OR DRUG ADDICTS.

Verified Reviewer |I LOVE MY HYLA
I got the most wonderful sales reps we chatted had a good time...and like my prayers had been answered they showed me a transformer that would cleanse the air in my home and freshen it ...good buy plug ins... And it transformed in to a vacuum good by pet fur..
And it didn't get dust everywhere while vacuuming or emptying it.
I love it. It makes me so happy to know i wont ever have to buy another vaccine again. I use to own a very expensive Dyson the was *** on pet fur, got clogged on the corner joint, and had a lot of breakable little plastic bits..
Vacuums aren't supposed to be disposable..
If i never have to buy another this HyLA baby is worth every penny...not to mention it doesn't get dirty than my floors while cleaning.
User's recommendation: Its worth every penny to never have to buy another vacuum again.
Just because
i guess my experience is a little different. I've had a Hyla for about 5 or 6 years now.
It works ok. The power head could be stronger but it is what it is. Picks up fine, cleans about as well as any of them. Its a little bit of a pain to clean but really, not any harder that one of the bagless.
We are rural so it just gets dumped across the driveway.
I cant really rate the company. I have never contacted them so i just went with an average, i bought mine second hand at a local animal shelter for $35 so,,, yeah. Absolutely NO way would i pay a couple grand for it. Less than zero chance of that happening.
Ever. That's just crazy. You can find the water vacs used for less than $100 all over the place. Its a vacuum.
It either picks up dirt or it doesnt. It will be used after the first time you use it anyway.
The only problem i have had with it is sometimes the little attachments get knocked off the storage spots on the roller base when youre dragging it through the house.
All in all,,, i would call it a good purchase at $35.
Yes, i am gloating a little bit. Score yourself 2 bonus points for noticing.
User's recommendation: buy a used one at a second hand shop.

Verified Reviewer |Vacuum quality and return policy
Do not buy this vacuum, The vacuum over all is not a good buy. It is heavy, and the pieces are hard to carry around and change out, as you need a complete hose extension and head with each change out.
The worst part was that I felt pushed in to buying it at 3am just to get the salesman out of my home. The cleaning solution is propaline glycol and caused my eyes to swell and my skin to itch. When I called customer service, they directed me back to my salesman which dodged my calls for two weeks and directed me to customer service. I called customer set I've again to be told it was too late to return as it had been two weeks even though it had only been used once.
To top things off as it was 3am and the sales rep was having drinks with use we ended up paying $4500 plus interests because I was too drunk to understand and just wanted him to leave. Over all a tearable lesson learned, I will never buy anything from people at my door again!!!
User's recommendation: Do not buy this from a salesman at your door.
Inappropriate Behavior
Wow. I just had one of your saleswomen come to my door, trying to sell your air purifier/vacuum???
At first it started out under the guise of some good old fashion pounding the pavement, networking to create brand awareness in the Troy market. Little did I know it would turn into an hour/hour and a half demonstration with not 1 but 2 sales people entering my home and making themselves way too comfortable. Everything started out alright, the first girl gave me a free gift, which was a miniature version of the $5,000 machine that they really want you to buy into. She told me she wanted to come inside to show me how it worked and all she needed was access to an outlet and a faucet.
Great, okay come on in that was my first mistake. Then she showed me its functions, but said she wanted to show me their larger unit, which was the real reason why she was here, but she had to go grab her coworker first? Oh God, here we go! Now I knew it was going to become a whole thing.
The 2 women came back and lugged in their equipment. The first girl introduced her coworker and then peaced out to go hassle my neighbors I guess??? Again, everything started out okay The new woman started her demonstration and I wanted to be nice and appease her so I politely listened and went along with her little questions and the whole time I kept thinking to myself about how difficult a job like that must be. She mentioned several times that she was competing for a trip to Mexico so I thought, what the *** help a sister out and get her another entry, listen to her spiel.
So I allowed her to do her thing - she shared all of her product knowledge and showed me all the features, I was genuinely getting curious about this product and thought if it was a reasonable price point, that maybe my partner and I would consider purchasing one, but I knew from the beginning it would not be today. All the same I was happy to gather information and check it out. The presentation seems like its about done when she says shes going to show me her favorite part. She says she has a riddle for me, Its the dirtiest thing in the house, but its something we never wash, or something to that effect I play along and try to come up with an answer while shes unpacking something from one of her boxes and putting some attachments on this air purifier/vacuum contraption.
Then she picks it up and says she going to show me and starts up my carpeted stairs in.her.boots! I was like, where the *** does she think shes going!? I uncomfortably followed after her and literally said, Ut Oh, umm where are you going? She proceeded right into our bedroom and said she was going to show me how it can clean our mattress IN WHAT WORLD IS THIS APPROPRIATE!?!?
I was so put off by the entire situation. I said, No, no Im good. We can skip this part. And had her follow me back down the stairs.
She said something along the lines of if she didnt complete that portion of the demo that she wouldnt get paid and asked me if I wouldnt mind her showing me on a pillow instead. I straight up looked at her and asked, Is this something the company encourages you to do, just walk right upstairs into someones bedroom without their permission? Where are the boundaries here? WE ARE STRANGERS.
I dont know you and you dont know me frankly, its really not that safe. Who does that!? She said she literally does it everyday. REALLY!?
I wanted to be done with the entire thing, I even told her, Here, you can take back your little gift. She seriously kept on about showing me on a pillow, so I sighed and defeatedly went and grabbed one of our throw pillows off of the couch. I totally shut down at that point. I asked how much longer it would take because I had to get back to my day Five more minutes, she told me and made a phone call to her coworker to come pick her up.
So Im suffering through the last leg of this tutorial and her coworker shows back up. LETS HERSELF RIGHT IN THE HOUSE. Cool Then asks me some weird hypothetical questions about if the machine didnt cost a thing, would I use it? I really was barely listening, just looking down in discomfort waiting for it all to be over.
I said something like, I dont know, or no, and she made the comment that shed never heard that before, blah, blah, blah. Started saying something about the other girls trip to Mexico and because of the incentive she could offer certain discounts, up to 50% off potentially and asked if it was more affordable what kind of financing I would be interested in I cut the whole interaction short and let them both know I was uncomfortable with how the one girl just let herself right upstairs into my bedroom and how the pressure and pushiness of all these questions was also making me super uncomfortable. My poor fiancé who had been working upstairs in his office the whole time overheard me drop the word uncomfortable and came bounding down the stairs in protection mode to see what was happening. It was so awkward and cringey.
They finally took the hint and painstakingly packed up and left. The entire experience was excruciating Suffice it to say I learned my lesson about accepting, free gifts, and letting traveling salespeople into my home.
- Too bold

Saleswoman
Started out with a gal (her name is Torie Sharp or Torie Benoit or something) at my door offering me a free little water purifier thing. She seemed super nice so I agreed.
Now Ive been through the rainbow demo so I knew what to expect. Fast forward almost two hours and shes more or less talking *** to her boss on the phone cause I wouldnt go for their *** deal. She asked twice for a tip (which I gave her $20) and then more or less got an attitude and acted all hurt and tore up that I wouldnt take this AMAZING deal for this $4000 vacuum. I thought about it and texted her the next day seeing if they could let me try it for a day.
See if I like it while not under pressure. She sent me links and said no. As I was telling her okay bye she went off and was rude beyond anything Ive seen. She absolutely made me feel like *** (or tried to make me feel like *** because without my purchase she couldnt go on some trip or something.
But after she knew for sure I wasnt gonna buy one she turned condescending and just plain mean! Not the way to treat people!!!

These presentations generally start with a knock on the door. Who in their right mind lets complete strangers in their home?
You knew it was expensive and grossly overpriced, but you bought anyway.
You knew trying to resell would be a huge hassle and alienate your friends, but you thought you would trying anyway. Don't buy from door to door peddlers, don't let strangers in your house and when you mess up, don't try to involve your friends.
